Monday, July 13 - Sunday July 19!
This would have us flying in July 13th so we could work from the 14th-18th and then fly back on the 19th. However, the only requirement is to volunteer one full day so if you can't come for the entire time or if you want to take a few days off to just hang out in New Orleans, that's okay too! (Just please let me know when you confirm which days you'll be joining us so I can register you accordingly.)
The volunteering work schedule is 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM on Tuesday through Saturday. The nice thing about this schedule is we'll start earlier in the day, when it should be a little cooler and then we'll be out in time to have free time at night which people can use to rest or go out to see some of the city and take in the amazing food and culture that New Orleans has to offer.

There have been a few requests for it to be during the summer because of school schedules, as potential volunteers include both teachers and students. Additionally, the following time periods have been requested:

As of right now, I think I'll have class every Monday from 5-11/8-1.
ReplyDeleteI need to spread out my vacation time, May would work best for me but I will try to fit it in whenever is good for everyone. There is a Mexican orphanage right over the border that I have wanted to volunteer at. You don't need a passport or anything and it wouldn't cost that much. Chris O'

note: Chris has decided to go to Caring Hearts Ministry on her own and accordingly her date restrictions will not impact the Habitat for Humanity trip.
